Recently it has been so hot throughout all of Southern California, that we all get a taste of what it takes to grow medjool dates. This the kind of weather that is required to grown dates. Except we can do without the fires and the smoke generated by these fires. The date farm is hot, it is hot six months out of the year, the rest of the year the weather is so exceptional that numerous golf courses have been built around these date farms. Tens of thousands of visitors come from throughout the country to enjoy the six months of exceptional weather. For growin dates it does not make much of a difference.
