You would think your body stays in shape. After all you still look good several months after you stop going to the gym, especially when you stick to healthy foods like dates, guavas, mangos, bluberries and lots of vegies with your lean meats, but then you go back. Going back to the gym after a long break can be disastrous, if you are not careful, I was sore for a month. I could not believe it. Then sooner or later, it happens again. I stop going again for a long time. I returned with a strategy, work a few areas of the body so I would not be sore everywhere. Strategy worked. The next day was awful, I was sore around a limited part of my body, very sore, but I could move around fairly well. I returned and felt pretty good after the second day. On the second day I started another area of my body as well. Similar results. Then I tried another part of my body, feeling confident and feeling the blood rush, I over did. Next day, I felt too much pain around my elbows. Limited area of my body, but I couldn’t sleep, I had to find a new sleeping position. Fortunately, the potassium from medjool dates prevents the charlie horses, or at least that is my theory and I am sticking to it. Bananas are not nearly as good for this purpose. One week down, three more to go, possibly.
