Medjool Dates Fruit & Medjool Date Palm Trees

The date fruit tree is actually not a tree at all.   The date fruit tree is actually a palm.  It is a date palm often called a date palm tree.  The date palm is actually more akin to a grass than a tree, but date palms are more commonly referred as date palm trees.  Date palms have been around for thousands of years and among the earliest foods and probably responsible for western civilization, because the date fruit provided a stable long lasting source of food.
