I was at fancy seminar.  For whatever reason, everyone seems to like to dress up.  Seminars are held about once a month like many associations.  I have been to other associations and they never seem to dress up in San Diego.  Have not been to San Francisco, but I suspect they wear shorts and sandels at those seminars.  Dinner was buffet, you had a choice of the mystery fish, mystery chicken, or mystery beef.  The fish is mediocre at best, beef similarly bad, and the chicken is alright.  I suppose chicken is often chosen, because it tends to be the same no matter how or where it is prepared.  The desert was interesting, it consisted of plain dates, strawberries and cookies.  I was pleased they had dates, most interesting there were date fans.  Most people are not too excited by the look of dates until they actually taste the dates and discover they are awesome.  I remember going to a party where they had the stereotypical platters from costco with nice layouts and what not.  They sell very nice stuff and contrasts with the relatively unattractive dates.  Once they tried the dates it was a different story, I saw the DJ downing them and becoming very addicted to them.  The moral of the story if looks edible try it.
